I had a very disappointing experience. I dropped my car off at 9:27 a.m. for a repair that I was told would only take 2–3 hours, but I didn’t get my vehicle back until almost 6:00 p.m. that evening. I understand that unexpected delays can happen, but I was never given a realistic timeline or kept informed throughout the day. If the repair was going to take significantly longer than expected, I would have appreciated better communication so I could plan accordingly. Customer service is about more than just fixing the car—it’s also about respecting your customers’ time. Unfortunately, this experience left me frustrated.

When my car’s A/C system went out in the middle of summer, I desperately went from shop to shop looking for someone who could help. Either they were too expensive or didn’t want to do it because of the labor required to do it. I had never been to Cortez before but decided to stop. Their place is clean, cool and inviting with a nice waiting area. From that I was sure they would be super expensive. However, they gave me a quote on the spot and it was a very reasonable price for the work that was done! I scheduled to bring my car back in for the repairs and they only kept my car 2 days! I now have a new A/C system and driving with super cool air again! Thank you Cortez!

I use Cortez on a regular basis for oil changes, brakes, and other repairs. They are also professional, thorough. I presently used them to repair my car after an accident. They took very good care of my car and kept me informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend Cortez.

I found Cortez Care Car on yelp. They were one of 4 business I contacted through that platform as i tried to find a reasonably priced option to get my 2014 Toyota Camry engine repaired or replaced. There response time was always within the same day and most times within the same hour. I was given a reasonable quote for the service interruptions was asking for as well as specific details about the used engine that was swapping into my car. The told me the miles, condition, and a transparent itemized list for the charge of services. Again this was all reasonably priced, where both parties felt good about the transaction. They communicated when challenges arose and accepted additional repair requests during the engine replacement. I will drive or tow my car an hour away again to their shop my major repair work. Thanks Cortez Car Care for getting me out of a bad transportation situation and made keeping my current car the best choice rather than buying a new or used car.

I’m out of town and needed an emergency brake pad and rooter replacements on my Ford Taurus. They did an honest assessment and gave me a fair price. I was in and out of their shop in just a few hours! An honest buisness with a wonderful staff.

Highly recommend Cortez Care Car! I had a great experience with Cortez Care Car. The staff was honest, professional, and very knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything clearly, didn’t try to upsell or pressure me, and treated my vehicle with care. The service was efficient, fairly priced, and completed when they said it would be. It’s hard to find a place you can actually trust with your car, but Cortez Care Car is definitely one of them. I brought my semi truck to Cortez Car Care for an A/C diagnostic on a hot Texas day. When I dropped it off, the windows were down — it was dry at the time — and I entrusted the vehicle to their care. Later that day, after a heavy rainstorm, I was informed that the truck was ready for pickup. Upon arrival, I discovered the interior was soaked: the seat, floorboard, and door panels were all visibly wet. When I politely asked a technician if they could provide anything to help clean the mess, I was met with hostility and raised voices rather than assistance. I then attempted to speak with the owner directly, only to receive a dismissive “AND” — with no apology, no responsibility taken, and no effort to make the situation right. To make matters worse, my keys could not be located for an extended period. While I waited, a staff member made an inappropriate and condescending remark: “You’re still here?” Later, she attempted to shift blame onto me for the windows being down — despite the fact that the truck had been in their possession the entire time. At no point did anyone acknowledge responsibility, offer an apology, or propose a solution. The entire experience was marked by unprofe
